1. Information We Collect
ChainMoji is designed as a privacy-first experience. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the game:
- Game progress — difficulty level, score, and streak, stored locally on your device.
- Session data — temporary puzzle state kept in memory during play and cleared when you close the app.
- Device identifiers — anonymous identifiers used solely to prevent abuse (e.g. rate-limiting API calls).
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, or any personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To save and restore your game progress between sessions.
- To calculate and display your best score and daily streak.
- To generate puzzles at the appropriate difficulty for your level.
- To improve game balance and fix bugs (aggregated, non-personal analytics only).
3. Data Storage
All game data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Nothing is transmitted to external servers except anonymous puzzle requests needed to generate emoji chains. Those requests contain no personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
ChainMoji does not integrate with third-party advertising networks, social media SDKs, or analytics services that collect personal data. Emoji data may be sourced from publicly available datasets under open licences.
5. Children's Privacy
ChainMoji does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The game contains no in-app purchases, advertisements, or social features. It is safe for players of all ages.
6. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to request, export, or delete beyond your local game progress. You can reset all progress at any time from the start screen using "Start Fresh".
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
